Face to Face

Make You Smile

It's not hard for this guy to make you smile. It seems everywhere we go and everyone we see he has a smile (or better yet his goobery gummy grin) just waiting to flash at them; some how they can't help but smile back. Ahhh shucks!

Mommy's Little Monster

My friend Lisa gave me this outfit for little man and it fits him now, at such an appropriate age too. what a cute boy I have and Yes, I know I say that a lot but don't you agree?

Six Months Old

This was the day I took Thatcher in to take his 6 month old pictures(even though he is almost 7 months now-yes, I'm a bit behind) I'll post those when I get them scanned. He is growing up fast and it seems that he is changing on a daily bases. He crawls and sits and stands himself up with assistance of someone or something. But then he doesn't know how to lower himself and then whines for mom. That is also a new thing. Whining. He only seems to do it to me...hmm. One day instead of his high pitched squealing he was saying 'Nah nah nah nah", but it seemed only when he was annoyed. It only went on for a few days and now he is back to his high pitched thingy and gurgling in the back of his throat. Landon says he is rolling his "r's" and should be very good at German. Such a proud dad.

Green beans Yuck!

The headline says it all. We have had a lot of fun watching Thatcher eat. The funny thing is he eats it anyway, it just takes him longer because he holds it in his mouth and makes disgusted noises or just simply gags. He is so interested in food though and even though feeding him this way takes longer and is not as convenient it is time to start adding a bit more in. He loves his rice cereal. This has also made him much smellier, if you know what I mean.

Precious Moment

Well aren't they all precious moments? This one is pretty cute though. I was reading to Thatcher and he fell a sleep, my cute little angel. My mom use to take pictures of us when we slept and I never understood why until now. He is just so cute!

Landon Rafting

Oh captain my captain
The crew safe on the other side & still smiling
Landon, loan rafter?
Fang! Need I say more

Landon had a great time rafting, Saturday his dad and brother Carson came up and ran a few runs. As you can see they had fun. Uncle Kirk was the only one to get sucked out of our boats the entire trip. I really only have good footage of this rapid, fang, the entire rapid section is in a steep canyon. I had to hike down to this spot with some effort and even then I was sitting on a cliff. Good thing they hit it or it wouldn't have been worth the effort.

Camper!

little man.
Our cute family.

Daddy & little man
Mommy and little man.
What a gorgeous view to wake up to...i love this picture!
look at that face...sooo cute.

Over the 4th last weekend we took Thatcher camping for the first time. He loved it! It was hot so I was a little worried he may get dehydrated but I taught him how to drink from a water bottle, most of it however ran down the front of him which kept him cool so it worked. The other great thing is he was so stimulated with the scenery and all the little cousins in line to hold him and care for him while I transported rafters or rafted myself; he slept like a log. Even when we went to St. Regis to watch the fireworks he was a bit scared by them so I shielded his ears and he went to sleep. I wish I could sleep through a war, which is how fireworks are enjoyed there. Everyone around you is shooting off their own even while the mane show is happening. Lets just say if someone yells "duck" or "look out" it's in your best interest to do it.
Thatcher, is becoming so aware of things. His eyes are especially drawn towards leaves shimmering in the trees, he's fascinated by it. I also catch him studying the movement of his little hands, he just watches them with such concentrated interest. Watching my child learn and grow has been so enjoyable and fun.
Anyway the trip was a blast! It was such a beautiful weekend, full of family time and memory making. Waking up next to such a happy guy full of smiles (he's like that always though-morning person) ready to explore and watch everyone was also a treat. Although he can't express his opinion, I think our little camper can't wait for the next one.

There were so many cute pictures from this trip it was hard to pick, I may add more later.

A Tribute to our Country!

Happy 4th of July!

Welcome Home Elder Lybbert!

Thatcher, along with the rest of the family welcomed home uncle Carson from his two year mission in Arizona. It must feel cool here for him even though it's to hot for the rest of us. Thatcher just couldn't stop smiling at him conveying to his uncle that he knows he returned with honor. Well done thou good and faithful servant.

Our little inch worm

Thatcher has become very mobile. Not crawling yet but definitely able to cover large ground. Ahhhhh! the house is not quite ready for a crawler. As is he already can manage to get his little hands on things not ment for his cute little mouth. I've already had to fish paper out of his mouth on several occasions. He is so funny though. He loves his legs and feet and uses them! When he doesn't want me to change his close or dippers he puts my arm in a lock between his legs and pushes down along with the growl or the grunt to show his defiance. What a character we've got on our hands, when he's happy, which is most of the time he screams and spats. He loves to laugh and smile and play with mom & dad. We love our little man.

Learning to Cheer!

Thatcher loves being outside, so much more to see and observe, it really keeps his interest. While at Great grandpa & grandmas the Coeur d'Alene iron man was going on and since the bike course was right out their front door we took him out to watch these amazing athletes. I think Daddy wants to set a goal to participate sometime...gooooo Dad! The next week was the 3 on 3 hoop fest tournament in down town Spokane so we caught a bit of that action as well. Thatcher loves watching people and they in turn love him, he's always got a smile to share and can brighten anyone who is gloomy or down.
