LOVE THEM!!!

I love my kidd-o's so much and I laugh along with them when they play and giggle together. Parenthood brings so much joy and happiness and unconditional love.

It's a bird it's a Plane it's...

"Dunt dunt dunt dah Superman!" T has really, i'm mean really, really gotten into superman lately. It's of course totally cute as he flies around the house and you would be surprised how different superman and buzz fly, totally different stiles.

Leo James Lee June 7 1924- March 9 2011

My 86 year old grandpa Past away around 2am this morning. Just 12 hours earlier I was driving to work and that Carrie Underwood song came on the radio "This is My Temporary home" and the third verse really made me think of my grandpa, because we knew the end was close. I just wasn't expecting that 12 hours later he would be gone. Death is always hard because there is always that void in your heart and the earthly absence of that someone but I know grandpa is at peace now and reuniting with all our other loved ones who have past on. He will be sorely missed and eternally loved but he was ready to leave this temporary home.

Leo & Fay Lee

Temporary Home- Carrie Underwood

Little boy, 6 years old
A little too used to bein' alone.
Another new mom and dad, another school,
Another house that'll never be home.
When people ask him how he likes this place...
He looks up and says, with a smile upon his face,

"This is my temporary home
It's not where I belong.
Windows and rooms that I'm passin' through.
This is just a stop, on the way to where I'm going.
I'm not afraid because I know this is my
Temporary Home."

Young mom on her own.
She needs a little help, got nowhere to go.
She's lookin' for a job, lookin' for a way out,
Because a half-way house will never be a home.
At night she whispers to her baby girl,
"Someday we'll find our place here in this world."

"This is our temporary home.
It's not where we belong.
Windows and rooms that we're passin' through.
This is just a stop, on the way to where we're going.
I'm not afraid because I know this is our
Temporary Home."

Old man, hospital bed,
The room is filled with people he loves.
And he whispers don't cry for me,
I'll see you all someday.
He looks up and says, "I can see God's face."

"This is my temporary Home
It's not where I belong.
Windows and rooms that I'm passin' through.
This was just a stop,on the way to where I'm going.
I'm not afraid because I know... this was
My temporary home."

This is our temporary home.

He leaves Behind his second wife(Grandma Helen), 4 children, 29 grandchildren and 58 and counting great grandchildren and so many, many more.

3rd Birthday...all about Buzz.

From Christmas to birthday, it was a Buzz Lightyear fest, well pretty much since Halloween when he walked in the Space Rangers Shoes and adorned his wings; Mr.T pretty much got all things Buzz and he loves them all. It's Buzz mania here at the Lybbert's and were hoping this fad last a long time.

March 1st

I know right, March and still all this crazy snow. Mr.T likes it "snow flakes mom just what I wanted". To bad his cold is lingering because he really loves to play in the snow. It's pretty wet today though. Well it better keep heading that way I want spring and it better not be late this year. Pretty sure the weather will cooperate now, what do you think?

These are my kids today:

Mr.T loves his sister and wishes she was a bit bigger so that she wouldn't scream so much when he squishes her. He is also very loving and loves to hold her and is very helpful when mom needs him to distracted sis for a few min. He enjoys making up stories and singing, it is hard to get a word in sometime when he's so focused on his playing. We really enjoy, most the time all the stuff coming out of Mr.T's mouth. He has gotten into a bad habit of calling names lately so hot sauce has become his new enemy. I know I'm a mean mom.
Baby G, is not so much baby anymore...I hate that! They grow up way to fast. She's crawling and pulling herself up to stand, feeding herself somethings, like cheerios, bananas, oranges, anything really she will try, I just try and keep it small enough for her. Loves to drink from cups but doesn't quite have the concept down yet. She loves to be held therefor my house is always a little bit of a wreck and she hates to take naps so she get tired and crabby. Needless to say I could really use some extra z's but wont be getting them anytime soon but somehow you painfully get use to this so I'm doing pretty good just waiting out the slushy weather so we can get back to the parks.

Today was definitely a comfort food day so I made some yummy creamy rice pudding...delicious!

Happy Valentines Day!!!!

I wish I could post in red or hot pink just this post, perhaps there is a way but I don't no how. I just want everyone I know to know they are loved and thought of more often than this silly Holidays meager once a year appearance. I love you all everyday!!! Have a wonderful, fanciful and if your lucky romantic evening.

Christmas Card 2010

It is a Fine Season for Joy to think of those We LOVE!
Christmas 2010
Merry Christmas Everybody!

It is that time again to share with you all what the Lybbert’s have been up to, and this year we spent most of it at home, yes, there was a few trips but we stayed in the west.
Of course, our most exciting news was in June with the birth of our second child Gretchen Anne named after my childhood best friend. She is such a cute little peanut and steals anyone’s heart with her smile and bright eye’s, especially her brothers, he has adored her from the beginning with his “ah, she’s so cute, she’s so tiny. I love her mom.” On occasion, he thinks his sister is kicking him or pulling his hair on purpose but mostly he tries to involve her in his games and hold her. Gretch is a high maintenance babe and not afraid to voice it, she loves lots of face time and to be held, and is close to crawling and sitting up on her own. Landon and I are competing for the first word of mama, or dada, you know who to root for.
Thatch’s “sis” or “sissy” is his “best friend” along with almost everyone else, especially those cartoon characters. It is no secret to those around that his favorite is Buzz Lightyear, whom he was for Halloween and every other day. He straps on his Buzz wings, runs up and down the halls jumps off his bed and the couches and with arms out stretched states “to infinity and beyond!” We love it when Buzz joins us for dinner Thatcher, is at another fun stage (minus the occasional colossal temper tantrum) he just says some really funny, cute things and gets so excited about everything. Landon was building a fire and blowing to get it going; he blew 3 times, each time the flames got bigger until it was really roaring. Thatcher, observing this said, “Dad, you’re like a Dragon!” Another time Landon squished his face into Thatcher’s car window and blew and Thatcher said, “Mom, I don’t like Dad’s footprint cheek on my window.” When Thatcher is mad, he calls you a “gut” as in pumpkin guts because he does not like them at all…very insulting.

We have been house sitting since September and will do so until June, we have been enjoying the 13 acres, 2 horses Misty and Fuego 3 mules Candy, Sandy and Mandy and all the wild life. Thatcher thinks, “Mandy is bumpy” when we ride her. Landon has enjoyed finding his inner Cowboy and can saddle up quick as anyone. Thatcher loves helping his dad feed the horses and finds the hay quite tasty himself, thanks uncle Dusty Landon after talking about it for years finally shot his first buck (8 pointer) with a bow, finding his motivation may have been the deer trail running through the back yard but that is strictly speculation…wink, wink. Looking forward to the summer sausage though, yum.
Landon also started his own construction business this year, Kodiak Concrete Lifting LLC and is having fun working with the people in the community and region.
We teach the 7/8 year olds at church and our favorite quote from one of the boys was during a word of wisdom lesson that beer was bad, he said “If I ever drink beer I don’t think I would like it because I’ve eaten hand sanitizer before.”
As for me, I spend most of my time being wife and mom and I love it! This fall I was able to travel to Rexburg and help sister Brie out with her 2nd baby and when I returned from that the next day sister Cherea had her 4th and I was able to help her. Mom and Dad now have 20 grand kids, Great Grandpa Lee now has 58 greats, and Great Grandpa Max has 22 greats. What a posterity.
As always, it was nice to have lots of family come to town throughout the year, from Germany, Canada and Idaho.

We love you all and pray you will have a magical Christmas as we ponder the miraculous birth of the Christ child and remember the great love he has for everyone.

Love,

Landon, Briettney, Thatcher & Gretchen Lybbert

End of Summer

It's almost a sigh of relief that summer is over, almost! You know how it is, summer vacation is not much of a vacation it quickly becomes the busiest time of the year. Well, I'm sad I didn't have very many restful days, you know the carefree lazy days of summer. Yah I think my last one I must have been twelve. Ah, the good'ol days. Anyway, the weather's sure pushing us right into Fall, the vary chilly cool crisp air. Time to pull out the sweaters. Oh another good indication of fall, the autumn harvest...we are canning, canning, canning and that is an understatement!!! Well, truthfully mom is the die hard caner, the rest of us like getting some sleep:)
Our summer was busy and I didn't post but twice. So here are a few pictures of the fun we had.

We did a lot with family and friends...lots of playing for the kids, lots of chasing for the moms.

Visiting cousins and friends in Seattle and having a lot of fun!!!

We've moved!

Well it's our temporary home. Friends of ours are off to China to teach English for the next 10 months, so we are house sitting. Mr T is atop one of our new responsibilities, one of five. Morning and night they need to be fed. It's one of the highlights of Mr T's day..."lets go feed the horses, k dad?" Well the 2 horses and 3 mules but to a 2 year old their all horses. I also am going to try and keep her 25 house plans alive as well as the beautiful grounds that surround the house. We maybe a ways out but the 13 acers of solitude are wonderful, it will be a hole lot nicer once we are totally unpacked and settled in. Right now we are living out of 2 places still and it's getting a bit messy and exhausting. We are really excited for our new adventure.
